must begin the process because he will be leaving in june as chair of the committee buford said that they would be looking all over the country for a new chancellor she has chosen a search firm that will assist the committee in finding three wor thy candidates ann lemon who works for the human resources department at north carolina chapel hill conducted a thorough explana tion of the legal procedures and confidentiality of the process to the search committee the committee was given con fidentiality statements and their signature was required to secure their positions everyone was in 29 to give the chancellor search committee its charge in his speech bowles identi fied an excellent chancellor as someone who is a leader and has the ability energy and vision to take a&t to the next level a proven fundrais er and can raise capital for this university an active partici pate in the com munity and an asset to the com munity bowles said don't settle for anything less needs a driven leader and according to bowles a&t bowles believes the potential of the university is unlimited unc-g and a&t should remain different and distant resources to become the leading university in this more trans fats than before recently admitted to the public that their french fries have a due to the revised rules under the u.s government's rules and regulations on food labels which specifies the amounts of trans fats in foods this change has been brought to the attention of various nutrition specialist the trans fats content in mcdonald's french fries has raised from a a junior student as college students see fast food almost as a necessity do they ever wonder at any time what exactly they are putting into their systems third to eight grams of trans fats any level of trans fats is unhealthy and it is best to avoid all together if one is trying to fol low a nutrition-based diet trans fats are created when hydrogen is added to vegetable oil in an effort to extend the shelf-life of products such as cooking oils according to the food and drug administration trans fats are said to cause bad cholesterol increasing the risk of heart attacks americans are continuously asked to watch their consumption of foods con taining trans fats through this nutritional precaution the fda hopes to reduce the number of heart attacks which have been 600 to 1,200 annually within the average college student's life is consumed by endless obli gations from classes work sched ules group meetings school organizations etc unfortunately for most stu dents a well balanced and nutri tion-filled meal is the least of their worries it is said to be for most stu dents at a&t that a quick trip to summit avenue relatively close to campus is the easiest pit stop for a bite to eat although i know my
